Bamboo is a team working predominantly in the insurance and financial services markets to develop and incubate innovation opportunities.
We are a team brimming with ideas allied against a strategic outlook, a culture of being driven by disruption, and an open and collaborative approach that is the secret to our partnering.
Our skillsets span innovation processes, marketing and consumer understanding, product and pricing development, technology design and build, customer and user experience, financial planning, and full business operationalising and management.
But put simply. We just love to build success from nothing!

OUR FOUNDERS
Phil Hayden and Stu Byars

As you would expect our two founders have quite different backgrounds and expertise, but share one thing in common. Success.
Phil Hayden has a strategic background in the marketing and communications industry. He fathered a disruptive but unique planning consultancy in the industry which attracted blue chips clients and accolades ahead of an Asia expansion and ultimately part of an IPO. For the last few years he has followed his passion of working continually and exclusively with start-up and early stage businesses.
Stu Byars is a Qualified Accountant and MBA. Joining the insurance industry, he has held Senior Executive roles having worked with the majors in Suncorp and IAG and the internationals, in AIG and broking giant Arthur J. Gallagher. From this corporate platform Stu launched a Management Consultancy business focused on transformation and growth for insurance led businesses.
It is clear from their skills, where each of the focus lies, culminating in a well-rounded, considered approach to getting start-up ideas up and running. However, one thing is true. They are a formidable team and both are as at home in the boardroom as they are, sleeves rolled up on the floor of the incubator.
